Energy Club Activities Report (2025–26)
The Energy Club, under the able leadership and expert guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Seema Menon K P, actively observed Energy Conservation Day in December 2025 by organizing an Energy Conservation Week from 14th to 20th December 2025. The week-long programme comprised a series of creative and awareness-oriented competitions aimed at promoting energy conservation, sustainability, and responsible use of resources among students.
Activities Conducted:
1.Reel Making Competition
Students produced creative and informative reels based on the theme “Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed.” The activity helped students communicate scientific concepts and conservation messages effectively through digital media.
2.Photography Competition
Conducted under the theme “Green Choice,” this competition encouraged participants to capture visuals reflecting eco-friendly practices and sustainable lifestyle choices.
3.Slogan Making Competition
Students designed impactful and catchy slogans highlighting the importance of energy conservation and environmental protection.
4.Poster Making Competition
With the theme “Earth’s Light Bulb,” participants created visually appealing posters conveying strong messages about conserving energy and safeguarding the planet.
5.Essay Writing Competition
The essay competition on “Smart Gadgets vs Smart Habits” motivated students to critically examine how mindful habits contribute to effective energy conservation.
6.Cartoon Making Competition
Under the theme “Think Green, Save Energy,” students expressed their ideas through insightful and humorous cartoons that emphasized sustainable living.
7.Collage Making Competition
The collage making competition on “Conserve Energy, Save Future” enabled students to creatively present ideas on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Outcomes and Impact:
Increased Awareness: Students gained a deeper understanding of the need for energy conservation and sustainable practices.
Creative Engagement: The activities encouraged creativity, innovation, and self-expression through various art forms and media.
Critical Thinking: Participants developed analytical skills and environmental responsibility through theme-based activities.
