 Energy Club Activities Report (2024-25)


The Energy Club, under the expert guidance of Teacher Coordinator Seema Menon K P, has been abuzz with a diverse range of creative activities for the academic year 2024-25. These initiatives not only fostered a sense of community among members but also promoted a deeper understanding of energy conservation and sustainability.




Activities:


1. Slogan Making: Students unleashed their creativity by crafting impactful slogans on energy conservation and sustainability. The slogans were thought-provoking and effectively conveyed the importance of responsible energy usage.


2. Photography: Members captured stunning visuals highlighting the significance of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. The photographs showcased the beauty of sustainable practices and served as a powerful medium for awareness.


3. Reel Making: Students created engaging short videos promoting energy awareness and sustainable practices. These reels were informative, entertaining, and effectively conveyed the message of energy conservation.


4. Cartoon Making: Participants expressed their artistic side by creating thought-provoking cartoons on energy-related themes. The cartoons were humorous, insightful, and provided a unique perspective on energy conservation.


5. Collage Making: Students crafted innovative collages conveying messages on energy conservation and environmental protection. The collages were visually appealing and effectively communicated the importance of sustainable practices.


6. Essay Competition: Members participated in an essay competition, sharing their thoughts and ideas on energy-related topics. The essays demonstrated a deep understanding of energy conservation and sustainability, and provided valuable insights into the students' perspectives.




Highlights:


- Creativity and Critical Thinking: The activities fostered creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork among students, helping them develop essential skills for a sustainable future.

The Energy Club celebrated Earth Day by creating an informative poster highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability, raising awareness among members and promoting eco-friendly practices.




The Energy Club's activities had a profound impact on the students, promoting energy awareness and encouraging them to think creatively about sustainable solutions. The events were a huge success, and we look forward to more innovative activities in the future.

Energy Management

Energy Club of NSS Training College of Ottapalam organized a seminar on Energy Management by seeing the relevance of having awareness about the same on 22/03/2024 at 10 am. Mr.K Premkumar, Engineer KSEB Pathiripala led the session successfully prompting pupils to form a chain circle along with taking the oath to prevent energy misuse and to manage it properly. The seminar began with a warm welcome note of Dr. Seema Menon K P teacher coordinator and ended up with the vote of thanks by Divya V V. The programme got cherished with the inaugural address by Dr. Ampili Aravind, Principal. The prize distribution for the winners of competition conducted by energy club gleamed the session. Seminar hall was filled with teachers and 250 students.In its all aspects seminar was a huge success hence it reached the horizon.

ENERGY CONSERVATION WEEK OF OBSERVANCE REPORT

 Energy Conservation Week Observance Report


Energy on Earth is not an unlimited resource and often takes significant time to regenerate. It is an integral part of our daily lives, from lighting bulbs to powering large industries. We rely on various forms of energy, including electrical, solar, thermal, biomass, and wind energy. Unfortunately, these resources are often wasted, emphasizing the urgent need for conservation and mindful usage for future generations.

To promote the concept of energy conservation, the students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, along with teachers and coordinators, organized a week-long program. The Energy Conservation Week commenced on 11/12/2023 and concluded on 16/12/2023. Throughout this period, members of the energy club, under the guidance of Dr. Seema Menon K. P., conducted various activities to raise awareness about energy conservation.

Students from different departments participated in these programs, contributing their creative thoughts and ideas. The week was filled with enlightening discussions and engaging activities, fostering a culture of sustainability within the college community.several competitions were held during the week, with winners announced on 1 January 2024:


Slogan Making:Nikhila( second year M.Ed)claimed the first prize, followed by Aswathy ( First year B.Ed English)in second place.

Photography: Megha(First year English)secured the first prize, while Nikhila ( Second year M.Ed)earned second place.

Cartoon Making: Gopika ( First year English)emerged as the winner, with Kavya(First year B.Ed English) Velayudhan securing the second position.

Essay Writing: Krishna ( First year M.Ed)was awarded the first prize, and Nikhila(Second year M.Ed) received the second prize.

Poster Making: Amrita ( First year B.Ed Natural science)excelled, winning the first prize, with Neethumol( First year B. Ed Social science) securing the second position.

Collage Making:Vinitha( First year M.Ed)clinched the first prize, and Vijitha ( First year B.Ed social science)secured the second prize.

These competitions showcased the creativity and dedication of the participants towards energy conservation.
